Dear Responsible Party:

As discussed in our previous letter, we are writing with an update to the COVID-19 precautions we are taking.

We have received new guidance from CMS. In addition to visitor screenings that are currently being done, they are advising that visitors who are not prohibited from visiting based on the screening tool visit only in the resident/patient room. In other words, no visiting will be allowed in dining rooms, lounges, therapy room, etc. Please pass this information along to anyone that you think may wish to visit your loved one.

As an additional precaution, we will no longer be allowing sales representatives from companies that often visit, such as hospice providers, home health providers, etc.

We would like to again stress that hand-washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of any type of virus. Please wash your hands frequently while visiting or utilize the hand sanitizers which are available throughout the facility.

We will continue to review IDPH, CDC and CMS guidelines and recommendations and inform you as necessary. We are also posting updates on our Facebook page.

The health, safety and well-being of our residents, patients and employees are our highest priori- ties at Oak Brook Care. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me or our Director of Nursing, Rusty Prades.

Sincerely,
Jina Lebert-Davies
Administrator
